Beginners Path
Fundamentals are developed through engaging and structured practice, building essential skills, confidence, and discipline needed for the next stages.
- Red Belt

Average duration: 3 months
- Yellow Belt

Average duration: 3 ½ months
- Orange Belt

Average duration: 3 ½ months
Requirements
- Firming up

Firming up for the foundation moves, progress should be noted in all 10 foundational techniques until secure.
- Advanced strikes and structures

Developing more advanced strikes and structures, dependent on current curriculum cycle Kata.
- Kata Part 1

Students holding these belts should be able to demonstrate part 1 of the current curriculum-cycle Kata with varying levels of support.
- Sparring with trigger drills

Sparring with trigger drills, mostly Instructor/Senior student-led, some pair-work to better prepare for next level.
- Working knowledge

Self-defence working knowledge, introducing basic Jiu-Jitsu and keep-safe techniques.
Warriors Way
Skills deepen, and focus sharpens, with students preparing for more challenging techniques and greater personal and physical growth.

- Advanced sparring

More advanced sparring with trigger drills, 50/50 mix of Instructor/Senior student lead and pair work.
- Self-defence

Self-defence developing deeper knowledge of Jiu-Jitsu as part of a self-defence system.
Warriors Way II
Technique refinement and strength building become key priorities, alongside preparation for leadership and mentoring roles within the martial arts community.
- Brown Belt

- Refining skills with advanced Kata

At this level, students refine their skills with advanced Kata parts 1, 2, and 3 to an exceptional standard. They are introduced to Classical Kata, gaining deeper insight into traditional forms.
- Leadership roles

Black belt students take on leadership roles, holding pads for lower-level students, feeding techniques, and guiding sparring sessions. Most sparring is performed in pairs, with an emphasis on precision, control, and strategic execution, preparing students to demonstrate mastery of their craft.
